TREATMENT OPTIONS
FOR SYMPTOMATIC OBSTRUCTIVE HCM
If you're still short of breath or feeling tired on your current oHCM medication, you deserve the possibility of symptom improvement. CAMZYOS may improve symptoms and the ability to be more active again.
Talk to your doctor to see if CAMZYOS is the right option for you.
Oral medication used to manage symptoms
Traditional treatment includes beta-blockers (BB), calcium channel blockers (CCB), and disopyramide. These medications are used for symptom management of oHCM, but most are not approved by the FDA specifically for oHCM. Some data show that beta-blockers may also address the obstruction.
Surgery to remove the obstruction
When the obstruction is severe, or medication fails to keep oHCM from worsening, surgery is an option that treats the obstruction. Alcohol septal ablation and septal myectomy are two types of surgery that can be performed (also known as septal reduction therapy). In removing the obstruction, surgery may also result in symptom relief.
CAMZYOS: Oral medication used to treat symptoms and obstruction at the source
Unlike most medications commonly prescribed for oHCM, CAMZYOS targets the myosin to treat oHCM at the source of the obstruction.
- FDA approved for the treatment of symptomatic oHCM
- Cardiac myosin inhibitor
- Targets the source of the obstruction
