In some patients, CAMZYOS can cause the heart to become too relaxed, increasing the risk of heart failure. Because of this risk, CAMZYOS is only available through the CAMZYOS REMS program, which is required by the FDA to monitor the safe use of the medication.
Your doctor will review the CAMZYOS REMS brochure with you and explain your participation in the program.

If you experience shortness of breath, chest pain, fatigue, swelling in your legs, a racing sensation in your heart (palpitations), or rapid weight gain.
Heart failure is a serious condition where the heart cannot pump with enough force. The term "heart failure" does not mean that your heart has stopped, but that it is too weak to pump blood properly.
Heart failure is not the same as a heart attack, cardiac arrest, or sudden death, but is a serious condition that can lead to death if not addressed by a healthcare professional. In order to monitor for the risk of heart failure, CAMZYOS has a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy program, or REMS program, which monitors you with periodic echocardiograms and screens for drug interactions each time you visit your healthcare provider. For more information, talk to your doctor about this risk and how it may be managed.
