GETTING STARTED
ON CAMZYOS®

Mike, a symptomatic obstructive HCM patient, was compensated for his time.

Unlike most medications commonly prescribed for oHCM, CAMZYOS targets myosin to treat oHCM at the source of the obstruction. Talk to your doctor about CAMZYOS and if it could be right for you.

Learn how to get started on CAMZYOS by taking some key steps and partnering with your doctor. Plus, learn about other resources which may be available to you.

Here are some things you can expect as you consider and start treatment.

Before you are prescribed CAMZYOS:

  • Your doctor will conduct a baseline echocardiogram to confirm whether CAMZYOS is right for you
  • Your doctor will explain the CAMZYOS Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) program, required by the FDA to ensure the safe use of CAMZYOS, and you will complete the enrollment form together
  • Tell your doctor about all the prescription or over-the-counter medicines, including vitamins and herbal supplements, you are taking, or plan to take. Also, be sure to tell your doctor if you are taking medicines to treat your obstructive HCM disease
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you plan to become pregnant or breastfeed
  • Tell your doctor what form of birth control you may be using
  • Tell your doctor if you are developing an infection

When you are prescribed CAMZYOS:

  • Your CAMZYOS prescription will be sent to a specialty pharmacy where it will be filled by mail. CAMZYOS will not be available at your local pharmacy
  • When you receive your medication, you will work with your doctor to schedule regular echocardiograms
  • Your doctor may sign you up for the MyCAMZYOS Patient Support program. If you enroll after your doctor prescribes CAMZYOS, a Nurse Navigator from the program will be in touch with you within one business day
  • Do not stop or change the dose of a medicine or start a new medicine without telling your healthcare provider

Nurse Navigators can provide general information about CAMZYOS but cannot provide medical advice. Your doctor is the best source of information about your health.

Stephanie was a marathon runner who had to give up running and gradually lowered her level of activity over the years. She was recently diagnosed with symptomatic obstructive HCM after her symptoms of shortness of breath and heart palpitations worsened. On the day she was diagnosed her cardiologist mentioned surgical options for her HCM. As her own advocate, she met with another cardiologist who prescribed CAMZYOS.
